FAQ
Outboard Repair Questions
How much does outboard repair cost?
Outboard repair is $120 per hour, with parts billed separately. Mobile service has a $100 minimum, which includes travel. Text us your engine and the problem and we'll go from there.
Do I have to bring my outboard to a shop?
No. We come to your dock, slip, driveway, or storage yard. There are no tow or haul-out fees.
What outboard brands do you work on?
We're factory-trained on Mercury, Yamaha, and Suzuki outboards, and experienced with Honda and Evinrude.
Why is my outboard hard to start or running rough?
A common cause is poor gas quality. We work out the root cause before replacing parts. Fuel system service covers carburetor cleaning, fuel pump replacement, injector service, and fuel line inspection, and starts with an inspection.
What outboard repairs do you do?
On-site diagnostics, tune-ups, oil and gear-lube changes, impellers, thermostats, fuel-system service, tilt and trim, and cooling issues. Text us what your engine is doing.
How quickly will you get back to me?
We respond during normal business hours, or as soon as we see your request. Getting in touch early matters — text your boat's year, make, engine, and what's going on so we can get started.
Do you do emergency or rush repairs?
Yes. If it's something we can help with, we'll do rush calls in an emergency. Text (603) 273-2491 and describe what's happening.
Do you do warranty work?
No. We're not an authorized dealer, so we don't do manufacturer warranty repairs. For warranty work, contact an authorized dealer for your engine brand.
Do you do major engine work or repowers?
It depends on the job. We can sometimes arrange space for major engine work or a repower, but it isn't always available. Text us the details and we'll let you know.
How do I pay?
Cash, check, or card. Cards are taken on the spot with Square Tap to Pay, and every job gets a digital work order.
What areas do you serve?
We're based in Moultonborough and serve the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, including Lake Winnipesaukee, Squam Lake, Lake Ossipee, Newfound Lake, Wolfeboro, Meredith, Laconia, Gilford, Alton Bay, Conway, and surrounding towns.
